15 Best crystals for beginners

All objects have vibrations that can be scientifically measured. Crystals are no exception, and in this blog, I will briefly explain their effects on our body and spirit.ree

I used to not believe in crystals; I honestly thought it was nonsense. But I had an unexpected and sudden experience that changed my perspective. I visited a crystal shop because, although I didn’t believe in the power of crystals at the time, they are undeniably beautiful. I saw a selenite wand that I couldn’t resist picking up, and as soon as I did, it had an immediate and physical effect on me. For a brief moment, I felt a bit dizzy and as though I was about to fall. I put the selenite down and walked away. A year later, I told a friend how stressed I was feeling.

While I was talking, she calmly placed three black tourmalines in a triangle on the floor with me in the middle. After a minute, she replaced the tourmalines with selenite. After about five seconds, I felt a slight numbness in my head, and then... everything went quiet. I could still hear everything around me, but it was as if someone had removed all the background noise in my head. Until that moment, I didn’t realize there was noise in my head to begin with. I knew my mind was working at high speed every waking moment of my life, and it was something I had learned to live with, but this experience made the freeway in my head become a scenic drive—still fully aware and functional, just calmer and quieter. I cried. I had never experienced any mental stillness in my life—and I am over 40 years old.

What are the benefits of crystals?

Crystals with higher vibrations can be considered a 'moving' force—like going to the kitchen to make a cup of tea. Crystals with lower vibrations can be considered a 'comforting' force—like drinking a warm cup of tea on a cold, rainy day. The 'moving' force lifts us up, bringing us to a more elevated state of mind and spirit, such as manifestation, communication, from sadness to joy, fear to confidence. The 'comforting' force can be healing, compassionate, calming, bringing mental peace, and releasing negativity. Both lower and higher vibration crystals are important because they help us engage with, manage, and enjoy life.

Finding the 'most powerful' crystals for your needs is not a standard list that fits everyone but rather a tailored one, as each of us is unique on many levels. So how do you find your fit? Through testing and experiencing its effect on your body, mind, and spirit.ree

The list is NOT in any particular order, because when it comes to crystals, the best is only according to what works for you.

1. Amethyst:ree

The 'talented' stone. Amethyst has an extremely long list of benefits, which I won't be able to cover in this blog. It is a very powerful and high-vibration crystal. Everyone should have this amazing crystal; if you are new to buying crystals and stones, amethyst should be your first. Here are a few benefits that amethyst provides: It helps combat fear and guilt, invokes calm, reduces anxiety, encourages good dreams, and is a strong protector against fear and guilt. It instills peace, alleviates anxiety, and is a strong guide to the spiritual world. It is often used for the third eye or crown chakra.

2. Citrine:ree

The 'optimistic' crystal. It is used to promote positive energy and optimism, thereby reducing negative energy. It is good for calming family tensions, fostering love and joy. It also protects against jealousy and negative emotions and helps heal broken hearts. It is second highest on the list of crystal vibrations.

3.Rose Quartz:ree

The love crystal. Rose quartz is believed to vibrate with unconditional love, making it a wonderful stone for healing emotional wounds and inspiring compassion. Therefore, it is a stone used to heal and improve relationships and encourage kindness towards others.

4. Clear Quartz:

The main crystal. As the name suggests, it supports mental clarity. It also helps with emotional stability and is used for meditation. This makes clear quartz the best choice for the crown chakra. You can use this clarity crystal for spiritual and physical purposes, for manifestation, or to combat motion sickness, headaches, dizziness, and vertigo. It is considered the most powerful crystal.

5. Selenite:ree

The balancing crystal. There are many grounding crystals. Obsidian and black tourmaline are popular, but I have found that selenite works best for me. The benefits of selenite are: dispelling negative energy, creating calm and clarity, helping with physical balance, reducing fear and nightmares (my daughter places a selenite under her pillow when she is afraid to fall asleep. She swears by it; she is 7 years old). It can also open channels to the spiritual world. Selenite vibrates at a high frequency, making it a very

6. Green Adventurine:

The prosperity crystal. Aventurine is said to attract wealth and create opportunities for you to generate prosperity. It is also considered one of the luckiest stones in the world, as it helps manifest wealth and abundance. It aids in letting go of old habits to make room for new growth and also supports creativity.

7. Lapis Lazuli:

The consciousness stone. Lapis lazuli makes the bearer more open and enlightened. It helps with self-awareness, self-confidence, and insight. It also invokes peace and harmony. The Sumerians believed that the stones contained the spirit of their gods. It is often associated with royalty and strength.

8. Turquoise:ree

The communication stone. Turquoise is the oldest recorded gemstone used for adornment. Fragments of high-quality turquoise were discovered in ancient Egyptian graves. They were set in gold necklaces and rings and dated to 3000 BC. It has long been believed to aid in communication, both in the earthly and spiritual realms. It is therefore used for the throat chakra. It is also considered a powerful talisman to protect the bearer and assist in battle or hunting.

 9. Malachite:ree

The power stone. Malachite is a stone that invites wealth and prosperity into your life. It is also used for protection against evil and helps not only with healing from past traumas but represents a new life. The ancient Egyptians believed in a paradise called the "Field of Malachite" that awaited them after death. Important: Malachite can be toxic to humans if ingested, inhaled, or handled in its raw form. So if your malachite breaks, do not continue to use it and definitely do not attempt to grind or polish it, as this will release malachite dust into the air, which you will start to inhale—something we’ve covered as harmful. Polished malachite and malachite jewelry, however, are safe to handle.

10. Black Tourmaline:

The protection crystal. Black tourmaline is a powerful crystal that protects against negative energies and psychic attacks. It is often used as a grounding crystal and is said to have healing properties and provide emotional stability.

11. Maifan:ree

The healing stone. This is a fascinating stone! It is non-toxic and can therefore be added to your drinking water. It contains 70 trace elements such as potassium, sodium, calcium, and manganese. It is used to improve blood circulation, pH balance, and acts as an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever. It is also used to boost the immune system, rejuvenate the body, and assist with detoxification. According to osmiowater.co.uk, many mineral water companies dissolve maifan during their preparation stages to increase their water's micronutrient density. The stone has been used as a youth stone in ancient times.

Spiritually, this stone is used to help resolve dilemmas and set you on your path to peace, bringing you back to your core. It is used to enhance the bearer’s healing luck. Maifan as bracelets or jewelry pieces are not easy to find, which is why Lakris produces their own handmade bracelets..

12. Jasper:

Jasper is a nurturing stone. It has protective energy as well as calming and comforting energy. It helps bearers with indecision and assists them in becoming more aware of their natural instincts. There are many types of jasper; the bracelet in the picture is imperial jasper.

 13. Onyx:ree

The medical industry recognizes onyx under the name copolymer. It is used to treat blood disorders, marrow diseases, and dental and foot problems.

The spiritual benefits of black onyx include attracting abundance and enhancing intuition. It is said to guide people through dreams and visions. Black onyx is also a protector against negativity and the 'evil eye,' so you can use it in work environments to protect against jealous colleagues. But why stop there? You can use it with family members (including extended family) because, let’s be honest, every family has that person who cannot be happy for your successes.

14. Tiger Eye:ree

Tiger's eye can be used as a grounding stone to protect against negative energies. It is also often used as a solar plexus, sacral, or root chakra stone. It helps with mental clarity, reduces fear, and aids in emotional healing and self-reflection.

15. Opalite:ree

Opalite is not actually opal; it is man-made glass. Genuine opal is very expensive, so synthetic versions have flooded the market to fill the gap. But don’t be discouraged, as opalite still has spiritual benefits. Opalite is used for emotional well-being. It helps you release old habits and encourages personal growth. It can also enhance creativity and strengthen relationships.

I hope you find the crystals that work best for you.
